Completed Degrees by Income Quartile

In 2007 a student who turned 24 and came from a family with an income in the top quartile of all family incomes, was almost eight times more likely to have received a Bachelor's degree than a student who came from a family in the bottom quartile of family incomes. Here are the figures by quartile:

 Bottom Quartile  9.8%  (Less than $39,500)
 Second Quartile 18.3%   ($39,501 to $68,925)
 Third Quartile 33.4%   ($68,926 to $116,050)
 Top Quartile  75.9%
