Federal Pell Grant Increase

Congress recently passed, and the President signed, legislation increasing the maximum federal Pell Grant award from $4,050 to $4,310 for academic year 2007-2008. (The minimum award remains $400.) Also increasing as a result of this legislation were the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) ranges corresponding to various levels of Pell Grant assistance. Eligible students with EFCs between $0 and $4,110 (formerly $3,850) will receive Pell Grant awards during 2007-2008.
